How long does it take to clean a house at an avg. of 2,000 sq. feet with tiny kitchens and bathrooms????

I agree!

Even if I fell into millions of dollars (or if millions of dollars suddenly fell into me), I would still be reliable enough to clean my own crapper! Jeez......

If that happened to you then most likely you will have the time to clean your "crapper" unlike those that work hard for millions and don't have the time to do so.

I clean my own house but I pay someone to maintain my lawn and pool because I hate doing that and I can afford to pay someone to do it. Nothing wrong with that.

I love my yardman, been using him for 4 years now and his work is more than just the usual "mow, blow and go" approach that I see many other yardmen do.

I can clean my house, it is the really deep cleaning that I enjoy. The blinds, baseboards, ovens, stove, microwave, door knobs, windows, cleaning under the sofa, cleaning under the cushions, flipping the mattress, dusting the pictures, cleaning the stainless steel, dusting the ceiling fans....

I work my ass off and yet still find time to maintain my home, yard, and all the vehicles so I don't want to hear about it. There's always time. I'll be damned if I spend a penny having someone else look after my affairs. Nobody can do it right, anyhow.

As usual, you read into posts ("nothing wrong with that"). Nothing personal.... I just don't rely on people for jack squat. If you are so busy that you choose to do so, that's your deal.

I know someone who went through a service and paid $85/bi-weekly for a house that was 3,200 sq ft. They had tons of carpet though. I know they charge more if you have hardwoods and a lot of tile.

not everyone on craigslist is crappy and cant afford advertising. my business, when i started it in SA, mainly advertised on free websites, word of mouth and business cards left at locations where people who would patronize me would see them.

now, since my business has expanded and i picked up an IT gig for an oil company at the eagle/ford shake oil fracking thing, ive pulled all my ads since im making around 95k a year (assuming full time, which varies) doing mostly PA work and very little IT work.

Re: " I would still be reliable enough to clean my crapper", I say good for you, God has blessed you, but we have no idea why the original poster needs said service i.e. due to age or health reasons. So MCB, Best of Luck, CityData is a great source for info/feedback on all things San Antonio. Some comments may not be as useful, but there are plenty of good folks here who are more than happy to share experience/knowledge to help others. Make it a good Tuesday y'all!

Some people just don't like to do certain things and are willing to pay someone else to do it.
Some people don't like to take care of their own lawn so they pay someone to do it for them. Some don't like to cook so they eat out a lot. Some people don't like to clean so they pay someone to come in and clean for them.
There's no reason to judge them, it's their money they can do what they want with it.
