Although I have been here in SA for 2 yrs, I haven't needed an performance shop for my car. So does anyone have any recommendations for where to get exhaust work done?

Edit: Also need good window tinting! So throw out those places as well please.

Thanks everyone!

Daddy's window tint did my Subaru STi. Pricey but you get what you pay for. Good work.

They are located off Babcock and Huebner.

Note: they won't do illegal tint "off the books".

I don't think you need to go to a so called "performance" shop to have an exhaust installed. I would buy the exhuast online and take it a automotive repair shop. I know Potranco Automotive frequently advertise "we install custom exhaust".
I did this from the headers back on a Mustang.

I've had Custom Sounds tint a couple of my cars and Auto Xtras for my truck. Both do a great job.

Hope this helps!

I really need a place that sells the exhaust tips and does installs..since my car is low I bent one and it broke so you are right, no real performance shop needed.

Thanks to both of yall, I'll google & hopefully check some of these places out on saturday. Appreciate the info.

Northwest Automotive Warehouse on Culebra. They do it right for a good price.

I'll second Northwest Automotive NAW - Truck Accessories for San Antonio, Car, SUV, Sport Compact Accessories & Exhaust Systems

They did my Mustang and the truck before it and really hooked me up. Talk to them in person and they may have some special deals from previous sales that didn't quite work out.

Art's Atlas Tire and Wheel on Fredericksburg @ Vance Jackson has been my "go-to" place for exhaust work for many years. It's a small place that's been there a long time. They do great work at fair pricing.

On both business vehicles and personal, I've had everything done from a simple muffler replacement to full custom header back dual exhaust systems. They've always accommodated my needs, even with special requests such as a crossover pipe and non standard routing for clearance issues.

first off, is your car turbo or super charged? if neither, make sure you dont get something ridiculous like a 3" pipe all the way back, as youll kill your backpressure and will quite likely slow your car down.

if you ARE turbo/super charged, go 3" or larger, depending on how much boost youre running.

Anthony (from the now closed Speed and Sport) runs Planet Pick-up off 410 does all types exhaust,...I think he managed to bring Pancho along (with his pigeon) who did all of Speed and Sports exhaust back in the day...he did my 74 V-8 Vega I miss immensely. Give Anthony a call.
