One day, while driving in San Antonio, I saw a bathtub fall out of a pick-up truck on the 151. I had plenty of time to swerve, so no big deal there. But it did make me realize how over-represented the living room is when it comes to freeway obstacles (always the sofa). It's nice to see the rest of the house getting some attention by our legion of strapless pick-ups.

One time, in a parking lot in San Antonio, I saw a truck with a bumper sticker that read "White, Straight, Republican, and Male." (You may be thinking "J1ndo, leave politics out of this" and I shall).

The first thing I thought was how much I wished I had a sticker that matched the font and color of the original perfectly, and how I'd surreptitiously attach it right next to the original sticker on said truck.

And it would read "And so is my boyfriend." Bang zoom heyo!

I read about this at one time and spoke with a gentleman who does it. I think it's fantastic. I wish to make some time to take the course and training so I can help along with those guys and gals. They're doing some great work.

MOD Note: Yes, it does! There are two ways to post a picture here -- one is to load through a third-party hosting site and the other is to upload directly into CD's hosting site - please see this post under Option Two that provides step-by-step instructions.

You can, or at least could, find a sofa near the I-35E and I-10W interchange. Just off the side of the right lane in the grass going from 35 onto 10 West. Sort of a tan, with road grime shade. It's been there so long I haven't checked to verify it's still around. Will look tonight.

Just doing my part to give a voice to the downtrodden and underrepresented sectors of the furniture world.

Don't forget to give love to the bedroom? I've seen mattresses!

I saw a Smart For Two in the bed of a HUGE F-350 last month. So meta and so representin' the garage.

I like this theme...rooms that are rep'd via pickup truck loads.

So, then, a good question to pose would be what's the most random thing you've ever seen/ran over/tried to avoid while traveling the roads? Whether it be in Texas or not.

We've got the bathroom tub, a mattress, and a sofa. If someone just narrowly avoided running into a dining room chair and a TV tray, congratulations! You've just described my college apartment.

But seriously, I nearly hit a random wheel one time, travelling up 46 to Austin from Houston one dark Texas night. Complete with rim and tire. May have fallen off a spare hold or something. Scared me a little.
