I ate In and out 3 times at the Arlington location. I thought it was very overrated. To me it felt like I was eating a Rally's burger (if anyone remembers Rally's that not a good comment). Now the sweet tea was great.

For a fast food burger Whataburger is personally better.

They are opening up in the Houston area next year. The rest in the state are in the DFW area.

Yeah, those of us who have tried In & Out Burger and didn't like it aren't entitled to our opinion!

San Antonio needs another fast food chain like it needs another three-month summer of triple-digit temps and no rain!

Remember what happened to Krystal? Moderator cut: orphaned

Krystal failed because their burgers were mini sized in a city that eats a double burger as the norm.

San Antonio is a fat city and the locals need food that is large...

Krystals was the opposite. In and Out is exactly what San Antonio wants.

Moderator cut: Off-Topic

Baiting is boring.

Default Market Niche, Del Taco,

Is there a big enough market for yet another fast food taco franchise
around here?
I have eaten at Del Taco before. It is Taco Bell quality fare.
Taco Cabana makes far better food than Del Taco.
I don't think this business will take root here either, bad alchemist.
Unless there is a large enough market for bland and unauthentic. Maybe there is.
Their Beeef tacos al carbon taste strongly of vinegar.

I think it'll get good business from transplants and maybe some initial boom out of curiousity, but I don't think it's different enough to really take hold down here.

I think they/we get offended at a posters sloppy delivery of of criticism especially when they rarely bring substance to the thread.

I do enjoy the fish tacos at Del Taco. Haven't found another fast food version here I like. I've heard Long John Silver's has them, but don't think that would be very tasty... And the ones from Carl's Jr. have way too much going on, but are blah once you take away the plethora of sauces they throw on them. Fish tacos are not a strong enough reason to say we need a Del Taco, but I would probably go if we got one here.

So while in Plano last week we ate at In&Out Burger. It was decent. Better than going to McDonalds. Also very fast service (hence the name) and very cheap. I'll go again when they come here if I'm in the mood for a cheap burger/quick meal.

Now if they'd build a Twisted Root Burger here in town, that would get my attention!!!

We have tried In and Out several times while in CA and local areas to see what we think..while good, the do not compair eWhataburger in the opinion of one who grew up on Whataburger (me) and DH who grew up in SD so has NO dog in the hunt having "aquired" a taste growing up to either.....just our humble opinion. Would we have one if they opened here, HELL YEA....but would it be our choice over Whataburger based on our history with both...not so much.

Their fries were good tho....not really a fry person, but tried them and found them excellent.
