I work in the alamo downs business park. Coming in from the Eastside. Taking 90 and getting off of Callaghan. Sometimes traffic is backed up pretty bad. Every now and then I have to take the Via #82. Cutting it close for work while waiting on the light at that intersection coming Culebra. Anyone heard about when it is supposed to finish? Just been getting on my wife's and I's nerves.

They have been working on that intersection for almost a year now. I never seen a project move so slowly. I agree it has been a pain in the rear.......it looks like its in the final stages though

Every construction project in SA takes ages to complete. Look at NW Military, Prue Road, DeZavala.

You go out there and on days, there are 4 hobbits and a Giant bunny working. Then after several months, there is a spurt of activity.

Obviously, the financials and relationship to powers that be get optimized returns for such a slow pace.

Culebra will be under construction until 2025 it seems. Then as soon as it is done, t will be under construction again. I swear in the 25 years I have lived near Culebra it has been under construction every other year.

Does anyone know what they are building at the northeast corner of callaghan and culebra? The BCAD shows its owned by the City of San Antonio. The parcel is north of the Auto Auction property and East of Southwest Research. It looks like a very big project but I dont think its part of the Callaghan Road constuction...

For what I remember it is now Southwest property. That's why the road was routed around it.
