You gave BBQ Station an "A"? They're food is so...bland! I ate there 3-4 times, each time thinking maybe it would be better. Never happened.

The place is still there and operating under the name "The Smokehouse". I haven't tried it since it reopened. I need to get by there one night. As a kid we used to always go to Bill Millers when there was only one. It was also on that side of town. There used to be a drive in theater across the street from it called the ParkAir Theater. Across the street from that was Floyds Hambergers. It's still there and almost completely unchanged.
Now you're talkin'! I loved Bob's!

There is a Bob's Smokehouse near Kirby on FM 78 that opened. It is right next to some bar .. Texas Roadhouse? Not 100% sure.. but as was stated.. the decor has a little bit to be done for but all in all not bad food. I always get their BBQ chicken plate. I am not a big meat eater but when I do.. I eat a lot of chicken.

I would rate Bill Miller BBQ three notches above Dickey plus the prices are outragious at Dickeys

Wow, Dickey's must be awful, based on that. I've heard similar reviews from others, so thanks for allowing me to save my money. Augie's gets my BBQ budget.

Well, it's a BBQ joint. I've never seen any bugs, but if that kind of stuff bothers you, I would just keep driving by! It's never seemed "dirty" to me, but I've seen bugs at "clean-looking" places, so.........

besides, they don't drink much! I keed.

I think it is a disinformation campaign by your friend as Augie's is a very popular BBQ place with limited seating!

We've eaten there numerous times and never have we seen anything like he mentioned. I am sure if such a thing happened, the place wouldn't be nearly as crowded as it is (there is usually a line forming before they open on Saturdays!).

Plus, I've eaten a lot of bugs in my life, both intentionally and unintentionally. I think one with a little of Augie's sauce on it would be much more tastier than the plain ones!

Yes, I "keed" too!

Cheers! M2
