Hi, moving to the area soon. Wondering what good hair salons there are to get a keratin treatment. I have really thick curly hair, and it's going to be out of control with the humidty there. Had one before and loved it. Has anyone had one, and what was the cost? Thanks

I've been going to Got Hair? on I-10 at the Colonnade. The Keratin Express (Coppolla) is $125, compared to the full treatment, which is like $300+++.

I have thick, thick, wiry hair. The treatment makes it shinier, smoother, and it dries faster. The express lasts me almost 3 months (I'm not going for the stick straight look, but I can touch it with a flat iron if I want to).

I live in the Stone Oak area, but I cannot find a salon that does the express over here. I did try the treatment at Ulta when it was $159, but they charged me an extra $35 because my hair need more than the 1 bottle, because it's thick Really?? isn't that why we do it? My hair is shoulder length, so it really shouldn't have been an issue.

I know that Visible Changes in North Star Mall (a chain type) also does the Coppolla express; however, I'm happy with Got Hair?, so unless I find someone closer, I'll keep going.

My hair is so thick too, and above my shoulder. I've been spoiled having friend do it where I live now, and it's not even that humid here. What is the keratin express? I really don't want to spend more than $125. But there's nothing worse than having a bad hair day, especially if it's every day!

Keratin Express is much like the full keratin treatment, but takes 1 to 1 1/2 hours (as opposed to 3). Two washes, painting in the keratin, dry, dry, dry, then flat iron.
