The person asking for advice wasn't asking for pros and cons of the area, they were asking what the area is like since they have already decided to move there. This confuses me a bit since they have "researched" and "visited" the area. How do you not know what the area is like?

I would say that "visiting" and "researching" only gives you part of the picture as to what an area is really like. Maybe they want to hear the opinion of people that actually "live there"?
