What Do You Like Or Dislike About San Antonio? (Houston: construction, school)

No, I just have spent a lot of time in Houston, but very little in SA at all.
Houston is definitely the most humid place I've been, or is tied with Orlando, FL.

So, it's good to hear SA is not humid, like I thought it was. :-)

At 2am Central time April 20, 2012...

Orlando, 72 degrees, 83% humidity; Houston, 66 degrees, 79% humidity; San Antonio 68 degress, 91% humidity. Now, guess which of those three cities will be 100+ degrees for 100 days each year? Thaaaat's right. At 1am one August night a few years-ago, my brother and I were driving west on 410 and passed a temperature sign at Broadway Bank, 98 degrees and 100% humidity-- yep we had fog. FOG!!! In the summer!!!

Orlando, St. Louis, and Houston... maybe more humid than San Antonio, but they're not more humid and as hot AT THE SAME TIME as San Antonio.

Yes, ignore the statistical facts from decades upon decades of data that say Houston is more humid on average than San Antonio. Ignore the fact that 100 days of 100 degrees is unusual and basically rare. Ignore the fact that in SA humidity is low whenever it does hit 100 degrees.

Ignore it all because one night in August a few years ago. When I'm sure it was near freezing in Houston at that moment to top it off.

Maybe I'm just too cautious or just rationally skeptical but I'm not one to believe everything I read on the internets. So I decided to check the official weather reports for SA, Houston and Orlando at 4:30 am central time on 4/20/12.

Wouldn't you know it. San Antonio has the lowest humidity percentage followed by Houston and then Orlando with the highest humidity and temperature.

cheap cost of living
friendly (mostly) people


hate:

retard drivers who slow down at the slightest hint of a change in the weather (this must be a unique feature of SA drivers)
excessive homeless on street corners, begging for money but refusing offers of a job
multiple cities within a single city/county
excessive mexican eateries (most have crappy food and should be shut down for health violations)
lack of a culture other than hispanic-related ones
lack of diversity throughout the city (there are pockets of diverse neighborhoods though, but not enough)

I agree with a lot of what people are saying because I know the summers can be horrendous especially with the high humidity. This city does lack in development and the amount of tourist attractions outside of the Riverwalk. I usually travel to New Orleans, Miami, Las Vegas, San Diego just to find other things to do without being a home body. I know our traffic is bad but not the worst that I've seen. There is only one professional sports team and with so many people from bigger cities coming in this can be extremely boring for the sports enthusiast. HEB enough said.

Wrong, while these are 'minor' legaue teams they still get paid to play are are professional
