Fast growth is not always a positive and certainly doesn't feel like it here in San Antonio.

Any influx of residents in a city can be troublesome at first but it works itself out in the long term. We'll be fine.

Default Coping,

The infrastructure planning to support this rapid of an expansion of a city is always inadequate.
I think San Antonio,Tx is doing well in this area. Particularly well in comparison to other countries
that have experienced extremely rapid urban immigration. This can become crazy sometimes, there are cities that come up completely inadequate in this type of planning.
It could be better here-remember the traffic jams, horrendous there just east of Bandera on 1604? Choked city streets are miserable.
This is a problem, this and the ever increasing shortage of water is a big stumbling block.

San Antonio (city only) was first in the nation for population growth from July of 16 to July of 17

Quote:
San Antonio, Texas, tops the list with the largest population gain with an increase of over 24,200 people – an average of 66 people per day between 2016 and 2017,” said Amel Toukabri, a demographer in the Population Division of the Census Bureau. “That’s a growth rate of 1.6 percent. This growth was enough to push San Antonio's population above the 1.5 million mark.”

That’s not how population growth works. Seriously, do you honestly believe what you typed I or is it a humorous bit of hyperbole?

Also, this is just city growth. Metro growth was twice this number.

Right... your definition of “crowded”seems to be a bit... over sensational.

Next time I am sitting in rush hour, I will give myself an ego boost by thinking about how I am living in the fastest growing city in the nation.

I don't commute...but I feel for ya. It sucks. Seems like there's construction all over the city as well.
