Does anyone have a suggestion for a good daycare that accepts infants in the general downtown / Olmos Park / Brackenridge Park areas?

We'd prefer one that focuses on education / preschool, rather than just daycare, so that it would be good for this kiddo as she gets older. We'd be interested in church-based daycares, so long as they were more focused on the daycare than the religion.

And of course, affordable

Thanks for any help you guys can provide!

The location isn't downtown, but I've heard good things about Laurel Heights Weekday School. St. Andrew's Weekday School in Northwood just north of Alamo Heights is also good. Both have infant care but function like a preschool once the child gets older. There is likely a waiting list for both, but certainly worth checking out. Pretty sure both are affiliated with the Methodist Church. If you're going for a preschool-type place rather than a daycare center, church programs are probably a good bet since many programs have a preschool-oriented curriculum. Good luck in your search!
