I love Green too.

Gini's on San Pedro also has good veg eats. Not sure if it's completely vegan though.

Whole Foods has a wonderful cafe and always has a vegan option on the daily menu.

Not too sure about totally Vegan options other than Green.
Gini's on San Pedro offers a few Vegan dishes I hear.
Adelante is also apparently pretty accommodating.

My daughter is a strict vegan. We went out to dinner recently (I think the restaurant was called Bistro Time - on Fredericksburg Rd) and she asked if the chef could prepare something for her. In short order the waiter brought her a scrumptious looking veggie plate of broiled veggies in some sort of marinade - she said it was delicious. I have no idea what this special request cost but apparently she does this quite often in all sorts of restaurants where the only thing on the menu that she might be able to pick from is a tossed salad. She said she has never been disappointed. I'm sure the chefs enjoy using their own creativity from time to time. Probably best not to make a special request when the restaurant is very busy tho.

Vegan eats in SA. . . .

I was vegan for a long time and am vegetarian now, so I've figured out a few possibilities. Green is great. Big Kahuna on San Pedro and Ashby has a pretty good vegan grill plate (noodles or rice, seitan, tofu, fake ham, mushrooms, etc.). Mon's on Broadway in Alamo Heights has excellent Thai food with some nice options, as well as sushi. Saigon Express on McCullough has dishes with tofu and seitan. Las Salsas is an amazing and cheap Mexican restaurant (and 24 hours!) on San Pedro and Woodlawn with veggie tortillas, beans, and rice--as confirmed by multiple inquiries from many veggies. There's a new place on Southtown with a couple of good veggie options, although I forget the name. (It's on Saint Mary's.) Lulu's, right north of downtown on Main, supposedly has an excellent veggie burger. Twin Sisters downtown has some nice stuff, but is only open for lunch.

A few other Mexican places have veggie beans, etc., but they're hard to come by. There are other Thai, Indian, Vietnamese, Japanese, and Italian restaurants, too.

I'll try to think of some more later!

Flying Saucer in Huebner Oaks has a great veggie burger (at least my teenage daughter said it was fab.)

Teh Little Aussie Bakery hidden around Brackenridge park has all gluten free food, so they might have a share of vegan selections too. San Antonio Bakery & Cafe - Gluten Free The Little Aussie Bakery & Cafe
