Fascinating pics! I worked as a Security Officer there in early 90-91 and it was hell on the weekends. Gangs had completely taken it over and it was all we could do to keep them under control. We had a dedicated staff that tried very hard to do the right thing and keep out the undesirables, but the almighty $$$$ won out every time. We would kick out someone for carrying a weapon, or having a fight or something else and then the momma or daddy would call and complain about how much money they spent there blah blah blah and we would be told to take this persons name off the list of those that werent allowed there any more. We literally warned management that if they didnt start doing something about the gangs and crime (like supporting us and backing up our decisions and actions) that the mall wouldnt be around in 10 years. We were pretty close to the mark for the end of the place.

Pretty sad some low class people ruined a great mall, but I think more could have been done.

I'm sure that there was something lost in translation.
