Strange rankings on the walkscore website, though. The Jefferson/Monticello Park area has a walk score of only 53, with a transit score of 55, yet we have the most popular bus routes IN THE CITY down Fredericksburg Road. We can (and have) walk to Woodlawn Lake, the schools, the Woodlawn Theater for plays, the HEB, a few restaurants, etc. but our score is LOWER than that of Oakland Heights at DeZavala and I-10 which ranks #8 in all of San Antonio? It doesn't make sense.

35 out of a 100. Almost completely car dependent.

I think the ranking makes sense. Public transportation is pretty good in SA -- inside the loop. Anyone who uses or cares about public transportation should definitely live inside the loop. Outside the loop -- well, you might as well be living in the country. You going to need a car.
