My primary concern is women. Secondary concern is drink prices. Food is not even important.

I'll throw out a few of my favorites: Sherlocks, V Bar, El Jarro......

What about ya'll?
I like Ojos Locos on 410/Summitt Parkway area.

people are tired of drunks. might be a reason HH has died down (and hopefully will continue to do so).

Pretentious bars and that crowd gets old real quick. Nothing fancy is what I like. Drinks, pool tables, solid jukebox, good people, no thugs who cannot hold their liquor, and no smoking is what I go for. Basically a place that your war veteran grandpa would hang out is cool with me. The Monkey is at Lockehill-Selma and NW Military-check it out son.

You cant smoke indoors in San Antonio, You may want to try Bonds 007 down off of Martin/Solidad. Its downtown, but its not on the river.

i'm with you except i'd like the smoke . i don't smoke anymore and can respect your choice now but that's part of the atmosphere i know . joint where the face on the clock at 5pm is usually better than any face of a dame that would wander in (except that one night) .

an old 12 tv set (color or black and white) for GAMES only . non of this 300'' tuned to sports nation with the sound turned down and crap music overhead .

a jukebox with plenty of the rev. al green, doobies, bobby bird, and the stones (pre voodoo lounge) .

mother, there's gotta still be joints like that somewhere .

Both 5050s are good. But it is interesting to note. The original is still one of the few smoking bars in San Antonio...because it is in alamo heights.
The location at I-10 & Wurzbach is non-smoking with the smoking section in the patio.
Either way, they have great unhealthy food at both locations and reasonably priced drinks.
