Them protesting accomplishes nothing(no body listens to them or is protesting with them), they only go out with the hopes of getting assaulted, so the can sue people.

a few reports ive read, as well as forums that discuss the shenannigans of the WBC have all claimed (and had some evidence to back it up) that a really large portion of their operating funds come from lawsuits.
i believe a suit brought on them ruled that they cant go near funerals... or not that close anymore.

Unfortunately, they are still allowed to protest at soldiers's funerals, but the Patriot Guard ( a group of bikers, veterans mostly) blocks them and shields the family and friends of the deceased from their hatred and ignorance. My friend just lost his son-in-law in Afghanistan and his funeral was held in Missouri, and the Patriot Guard stepped in proudly. He posted the video of the procession and it is amazing. God bless the Patriot Guard.

The WBC doesn't believe in anything other than making money off of lawsuits. Best advice, ignore them. Patriot Guard captains and member are thoroughly trained to not interact with them.
