Last night I saw a report on channel 4/WOAI about a crime. They didn't say exactly where it was but they were in front of a building clearly marked "Handy Andy." It looked like a mid-century or slightly newer building. You know, those big grey bricks that are kind of texturized. Maybe 1960's. I looked up the store on google map and it showed 3 locations in San Antonio. 2 of them were false addresses (showing houses or apartments) and only one of them showed a Handy Andy on the west side. But the building looked different. Very bland and more contemporary.

If anyone knows the address (or approximate locations) of any other store, I would appreciate it.

I believe I saw the same story on KSAT and wonder the same thing. I believe it was on W Military
I think it is a case a guy beat another to death over a road rage. The initial footage showed the Handy Andy in the background when the crime happened 2 years ago. The showed the same scene today and it I believe the sign/store is gone

Too bad, I kind of miss Handy Andy, Albertson's...well, just about all the OTHER grocery stores that have left the S.A. area! Wish I could still travel easily. It would be nice to go to other Texas cities and visit the other kinds of grocery stores they have. Yes, because of the S.A.'s area's lack of a variety of grocery stores, I would actually enjoy going out of the area just to visit other city's grocery stores and revel in the advantages of grocery store competition! I do sometimes go to Bandera and go to the grocery store they have...but it also has no real competition, as far as I know.

Watching the video and recalling this story I think this was at HWY90 and SW Military Drive. Just north of 90 and west of Military. Lot of businesses including an old long gone K- Mart in there. Oops ..just read Hedgemoms post. I'm sure she is right.
