Okay, I tried Googling but I can't find anything. Can anyone tell me the best place in SA (preferably North SA) to watch the transit of Venus tomorrow from 5pm-8pm. Are there any astronomy clubs doing a get-together somewhere special? I don't want to miss this transit as I'll be long dead before the next one (2117)!

UTSA is hosting something at the Science Building - starts at 5, I think. This is from their FB page: Upcoming: Transit of Venus on Tuesday, 5 June. The transit starts just after 5pm local time and the Sun will go below the horizon before the transit ends. If you miss this, the next transit
occurs in June 2117 (that is *not* a typo!).

Solar telescopes will be set up on the top floor outdoor patio of the Science Building (the usual place for Friday Nights, Celestial Lights telescopes). Tuesday will be day 2 of summer classes, so parking may be carefully patrolled. The South parking garage is available.

Also McAllister Park Dog Park at the same time.
