It is about time. Hopefully the Alamo will fall under better management if this succeeds, preferably falling under the same management as the other missions. Restoration of the Alamo grounds and eradication of the tourist traps would be ideal.

Default It is about time,

San Antonio got some recognition for its' historic significance. Ignored
and put on a back shelf, we are as old as Boston. This is one of the most fought over spots in the U.S....
People take this for granted. And, as I noted another poster on here stated
once, this is still believed to be a sleepy little town by many.
These missions are a natl. treasure. They are amazing. I remember riding to my grandparents as a child and constantly passing San Jose Mission.I did not know, realize what hardships and privations the original dwellers of this place had to go through and do to survive, the acecias etc.
Trouble is it may mean more tourism, if that seems possible, with more recognition. Ka-Ching!
