Hi,
I went but, I was with my sis and neices from Chicago...it had been a long morning for my young neices and, in kind, my sis, so we stayed only a little bit.
I was really hoping to get to watch dance lessons and to actually eat some and hear/watch the musicians...didn't get to do that though.
Any updates would be appreciated. Maybe I can get up there solo next year?

We went in the afternoon but only stayed about 2 hours. We tried the various gumbos that were competing and tried a few other foods. The stuff was pretty tasty but a bit hard to really enjoy b/c of the heat. The dance floors were crowded so we steered clear (we had a wee baby in a stroller and another toddler to keep our eyes on...)

I hope to check it out next year if we can find a babysitter. I think it would be fun to go with just my husband and enjoy some dancing - it's been SO long since we've been out dancing....

There were quite a lot of people there. I agree with the heat, it is always so hot there. The best time to go is in the evening, it is cooler and that is when the best bands are playing.

As soon as I find out the amount of people who attended I will post up. I know that they were happy with the turn out but they have no numbers yet.
