That is great news to me. I can fully understand restrictions but atleast we will have the opportunity to participate in having one from out house and save lugging everything down to the sports park. Do you have any info on what the restrictions are, unfortunately my wife is out of country and I am working 2 jobs so I could not make the meeting. I would also like to thank HOW for getting all the great information out to us.

The HOW website is reporting that Cannon, Drummonds, Foss and Steele won the election. Gotta admit the one thing that they have done extremely well is their communication machine. I met Cher and Bill tonight for the first time and thanked them both for leading this effort. They did a much better job on getting out the word about this election than the Association did. I can't imagine how much time and effort they must have placed on this campaign.

Well SAWS had water problems in The Great Northwest late yesterday and I was unable to attend to meeting. My Son drove by the Community Center around 7:00pm and said that there were Folks waiting outside the front door. Hopefully everyone was able to get in.

I find it odd that the BOD /HOA Staff would again invite Tom Rhodes. I'm certain he suggested ways to end the crime in WC- That's an early morning JOKE. I don't know about you all but I could care less about the number of businesses that serve this area. I am concerned about the increase of traffic which this guy has no control over. For gosh sakes he's a Developer. No matter what he may have said he is in the bu$ine$$ to make money - BOTTOM LINE. Why would he care about anything else? If I'm missing something here please let me know.

I saw that wc2005 stated that BC Public Works was to give a presentation. Did they and if so can you tell me what was said? They are the ones who will see to it that traffic flows smoothly. Was anything said about the overall appearance of the neighborhood and possible improvements?

I had looked forward to the Annual Meeting for months but SAWS Customer's and Water Quality come first. Hopefully with the new BOD this is a Great New Day in Westcreek!

People were frustrated b/c he has promised before to bring nicer restaurants and businesses to the Potranco/1604 area... but with the economy tanking, it won't happen for awhile. It seems Culebra/1604 gets everything. He said something about it taking 5 years for our area to bounce back...maybe once the road widening actually is done.
Yeah, he tried to stay on the positive side and "sell" the area...as in leaving out the part about the movie theater being on hold (until someone asked about it) and the part about the development around walmart being on hold (until someone asked about it). He WAY oversold the impact of the "old Sony building".

No, they weren't there. BCSO also did not send a rep even though the Sheriff accepted the invite. Everyone needs to drop the Sheriff an email and/or phone call to express their displeasure in him and his staff (reduced patrols) shunning the WC area. We have several thousand votes that could prevent his re-election.

New Standards SHOULD be on the HOA webpage but I haven't checked. Among other restrictions:
-Only one day (or week?) per month
-Only 2 per household per year
-Only 30 at any given time across the entire neighborhood
-$15 HOA permit fee
-Only use standard HOA signs ($5 refund when the two signs are returned)

A $15.00 Permit Fee? What Money Monger's have been created? I guess we can't do anything within this subdivison without paying some stupid overpriced fee. Is it always about making a BUCK? Sorry 15 bucks?. We will continue to give our wares to Goodwill and other Charities instead of paying our Non Profit HOA to use our own garage.

With that said I will be requesting that the cost of three BBQ Plates be applied back to our HOA assessments since we don't attend the Annual Picnic. They aren't charging an Admission or Parking Fee are they. Oh CRAP! I just gave someone an idea to make more money.

Might as well get used to paying extra money for everything everywhere. You had to know that "free" word was going to run its course eventually.

I work in Commercial Real Estate and one thing developers do is place a "coming soon" sign in order to entice other developers to build in the area. Before moving into the area I asked the Retail Specialist in my office if there were plans to actually bring a movie theatre to the area. He said no not at this time and the sign was a "farce". (My office has nothing to do with the sign or the farce. We just know the games developers play). Also, I know the owner of the company who is trying to sell the land over at 1604 and Potranco and I'll ask what's going on with the development. He'll tell me the straight truth.

I also know the person leasing the space at the "old Sony" building and the type of jobs it will bring to the area is a good thing. Some of the jobs will be transfers though.

You're right. It just pisses me off that they (BOD /HOA) want to nickle and dime with their fees here and there. Due to the change (not having is at the SportsPark) they will have to make up their losses somehow. I really have no need to complain since we won't sell anything anyway. The fee is still steep especially for one day.

I also think the COSA Permit is too high. I have no idea how many Folks are having a hard time getting by in WC. The way I see it people expect you to give your stuff away at yardsales. As you know that means that you have to sell $15.00 worth of stuff before you start to make the any sort of money. There is always more than one way to skin a cat where I come from. Two Families can have one Sale at the same house. There will be no way for the HOA /BOD to find out. Instead of giving them a way to make money I just found a way for the Residents' to save.

Bravo wellguy. Oh CRAP. They might ask for ID's of all participants. I have to move on to another importsant topic.

Speaking of which was last Sunday's Samsung Mobile 500 at Texas Motor Speedway that was rained out. The race was run on Monday although we couldn't stay. My Son had a Major Biology Test. Anyway now I have my own Commercial.

2 Tickets to the Race $225.00
A night at La Quinta $78.00 (Booked in November 2009 to save a buttlaod of money)
2 Large Pizza Hut Pizza's $24.00
Rental of a Pontiac G6 $70.00
Food at Speedway $30.00
NASCAR Souviners $ 175.00

Spending time with my Son PRICELE$$

And with all that I'm crying over $15.00?. That ain't Right on my part.
