Went to work today and long story short, there was a Golden Retreiver that was about to be put down because the neighbor of a coworker could not keep the dog (off to school, unable to find a place that would accept pets she could afford).

This is a 1 yr (aprox) old Golden Retreiver, NUTERED, I am told VERY sweet, loving and gentle.

If you know ANYONE who would like a GREAT dog and could provide a GREAT home for him...PLEASE DM me.

My greyhound is NOT going to be too happy about this....spent too much time at the rescue to "share" anymore, so any and all GREAT home applicants would be MOST appreciated. Please let me know...and wish me luck. Did this without confering with DH...might be sleeping on the couch tonite....

Bless you for helping.
I wish I could take him but I already have two and a cat they don't get along with.
Good luck

The Humane Society almost always only has room for puppies under 4 months old. The Animal Defense League is almost always at full capacity and will only take animals directly from ACS.

I'm glad it's working out for you Paka. Golden Retrievers are very friendly and intelligent dogs; they just need a lot of room to run.
