As the title states I'm interested in finding out what everyone does on July 4th. I'd love to do something fun during the day with my family but it's been too hot to do stuff outside. Also, I have a 3 year old and a newborn. Not sure if I want to take the baby outside in the heat or for the noise of the fireworks. But still want to celebrate the day. Any thoughts??

The city is having their usual celebration at Woodlawn Lake. July 4th Celebration at Woodlawn Lake Park, 7/4/2012 - mySanAntonio.com

I will be staying home to make sure my neighbors don't catch my yard on fire. I know some fireworks have been banned, but I've seen yard fires start with the ground fireworks too.

Ripping apart my 20+ year old smoker/pit....it's finally rotted out enough that I didn't trust it to cook in this year, so I'll be smokin' on a smaller one. The old one - 30" diameter, 6' long plus the firebox - is gonna be cut out of the frame, then I'll strip an' repaint the frame and weld up a new pit on it. Should take a coupla weeks doin' it on evenings an' weekends. The fun will be gettin' rid of the 800+ lbs of steel from the old one!
