Just realized this. Lots of other cities especially major ones have multiple ones. You'd think with the heat here we'd long have had at least one.

They're considered fountains and wouldn't be allowed to be turned on during the water restrictions we now seem to be perpetually under during the summer months.

There is a small splash pad at the Braundera YMCA. You would need a Y membership to access it.

There is a small from-the-ground fountain at ChrisPark downtown but, as already mentioned, the water restrictions keep it turned off. I believe there are some in New Braunfels and Landa Park (in New Braunfels) has some fresh water swimming areas, including a small wade pool.

There has been concern in SA for water conservation for decades. But that idea sounds like it would be nice.
