Looks a little similar to the Serbian gusle I picked up in Bosnia, except it has only one string and it is played being held vertically between the knees with the left hand fingers on the strings.

Try the Chinese Orchestra of San Antonio, Grace Li plays the pipa and might be able to help!

If not, there is a pipa virtuoso named Amy Changlu Wu in Houston that may be of assistance.

Good luck! M2

Thanks! And I think pipa is like a cello except you set it on your knees and play without a bow

Oh, the pipa is awesome, yes, even though sometimes I think my fingers are going to fall off from all that practice....!

Ok, if you still need the pipa just answer to my private message. As for the cultural festival at UIW, when is it going to be held?
