Shoot. You're right. It is 1.5. If you do the trail that's off to the side it's about 2.

I think we're talking about two different things. I thought originally you were referring to the half mile track at Babcock/??? (i've moved and after living in SA over 25 yrs and using that track for walking in the past the crossstreet escapes me) but I think you are actually referring to the new trail near Hamilton Wolfe?? Or I think there is a parking/entry spot there at least. The only reason I questioned it is because I know they did some work on the UT track and added the fitness center and I thought they might have somehow extended the track, is all.

No. We're talking about the same thing. If you do the track half way around and then do the trail piece out and back it's almost exactly 2 miles. If you add the second half of the track it would be 2.5 You can get to that trail right off the side of the track. This is right by the Spectrum/Gold's near the tennis courts, volleyball courts and softball field.

Also, worth mentioning is that Roger Soler's, RunOn!, and Trisition area all have casual running groups and training classes available at their different locations.
Have never participated myself, just throwing the information out there.
