My dad used to shoot these things often but he couldn't even give the meat away for free. I doubt you will find it unless someone or you hunt them down.

Might give this linky a try. You may not be able to buy feral hog meat as Texas is a quarantine state. Most feral hogs either have or are carriers of Brucelosis or pseudo rabies. I can't imagine anyone wanting to buy Javelina meat but they might be able to come up with it.

Maybe this will help. Might help if you know some hunters who hunt them or know of a place that butchers animals for hunters.

Wish someone would kill some of the hogs in this area that from time to time come around tearing up the ground. At least they can't get inside our fenced yard!

JoeMason007,

Go to any of the San Antonio area gunshows & look for people who are advertising "feral hog hunts" & go take your own. = At the last big SA show, there were two different ranchers who were offering free hog hunts to remove the "uninvited guests" from their property.
OR
Contact any of the "hog removal services" & ask them to let you know when they have excess "take".

By the way, I think that the hogs that dress-out less than 100 pounds are the best tasting.
(IF you need help dressing out & cutting up the hog, most any of the "deer processers" can handle that task.)

yours, tex
