My office will be located in 530 Mccullough Ave. My wife and I will be renting first and then looking to buy (3 bed 2 bath w/cats).

I lived in DC and hated long commutes....I would like to avoid that at some cost with the exception of her (and my) safety. Looking to pay rent in the $1000-$1200 range (6 -12 months) and buy in the $150K-$200K range

Any advice?

Rent at that should be easy in the King William or Lavaca areas, also Monte Vista. All very close to your job. Buying in any of those areas for that amount will be difficult. However, the up and coming areas of Beacon Hill and Tobin Hill should still have s ome places in that range and be an easy commute.

Default Thanks

Chakapu...Took your advice and found something in one of those areas. Looking forward to living in San Antonio! Hope to make it my home for a while.
