Our closest Wal-Mart is getting very low on ammo.

Word from the SHOT show in Vegas last week was that ammo across the nation is back-ordered for six months to a year; meaning that if sales stopped right now, it would be late July before stocks would catch up.

Given the jump in prices and low availability, plus the fact that many stores are limiting the amount purchased; the trend may have peaked, but it will still take a while before we return to "normal" in that you can find the caliber you want at a decent price at your local stores or online.

Of course, many remember similar circumstances back in 2008 and stocked up accordingly before things got really out of hand this time around!

And there has never been a requirement to be a FFL to purchase ammo. Some companies offer discounts to FFLs who buy in bulk, but there is no law requiring one to buy it.

Cheers! M2
