Recently I have seen brand new signs up and a new fence built for the entrance at Stevens Ranch. Is Stevens Ranch back on? Does anyone know a timeline? Are they working off the same plans as before?

When we moved three months ago, it looked like an abandoned wasteland, so I'm curious if it's changed around that quickly. I don't know why people are buying out there in Redbird or Bella Vista. When we bought our house in 2006, we were told Steven's Ranch would become a huge retail/residential area and eventually growth would stretch to meet Alamo Ranch around the back side of WC... thus becoming the " new Stone Oak". Don't think that will be happening. Kind of like Potranco Market , Santiko theatre, Costco, and the Spectrum that we were told was coming.

You mean realtors and developers lie? Shocking.

All I know is new signs/fences have come up... Something is definitely happening. Obviously retailers are not going to commit to a POTENTIAL big area, but as more houses are built and purchased, the likelihood of such developments increase. Hopefully the original plans will be dusted off and re visited

Most don't lie, they may elaborate or hide things but in terms of developments around said properties, variables change and it can kill a development at the snap of a finger.

Looks like Steven's Ranch is being revived... New entrance with stone walls and logo attached. Does anyone know a timeline?

Yes, I saw that about a week ago. Several years ago they developed this and even built a main road into the area (about 2 miles) but then went bankrupt. Since then a NISD elementary school was built in this area. It will be a mixed-use area (538 acres) with about 4,300 homes. Great, just what Potranco Road needs...4,300 more homes to clog the road!

Looks like they are starting to build the Northside Middle School next to Langley Elementary. Any news on retail in the area coming soon!
