Hilarious and oh so wrong.

It isn't hilarious. Houston has much better Chinese food.

Chef chan tea house here in SA was pretty authentic as it gets but it is closed now.

There is great Chinese food here but it is all pretty much Americanized to some degree.

Relax everyone.....these topics are so subjective, what may be great to some is awful to others.

I think you just don't have to travel all the way to Austin or Houston to have anything great. With Phoenix Cafe and Sichuan Cuisine both near Castle Hills, I'm pretty much covered.

It's hilarious to suggest driving 200 some odd miles for Chinese food, because of a crazy bias against San Antonio.

Crazy bias against SA? Maybe you are content with Panda Express or your typical Chinese buffet but there ain't no good authentic Chinese food in SA. Kim Wah BBQ would be the closet.

IMO, Kim Wah has a slight edge on Phoenix Cafe, and those are about the only two I would recommend in SA. Sinh Sinh in Houston China Town area is still my overall fave. I wouldn't drive there for it, but I definitely stop there for it
