The Starving Artists Art Show is coming up. I'm an artist who would like to know what it would take to participate in this show for next year. How much is the space and who do I need to talk to in order to get participate? I've sold my work across the country at other shows, but I'm trying to participate at the local scene. I've done a few First Fridays and such. Unfortuantely, I can't figure out how to get involved in some of the bigger SA art shows, such as Fiesta and NIOSA. If any vendor/artist can point me in the right direction that would be great.

The first full weekend of each April, the Little Church puts on the Starving Artist Show. Artists who want to apply for the show should send us a self-addressed, stamped envelope requesting an application.

I approve of this old-fashioned method. While letter writing might not be considered an art, I remember writing a corporation a good few years back and included in the response was a polite acknowledgment of the fact that so few people know how to write a proper ketter. Of course I looked online to remember how (:

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my question. This means a lot since I've been going around in circles with this. Even at Fiesta, I was asking the vendors questions and whatnot. I'm so happy to know where to go now. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

And yay! Letter writing! I absolutely love writing (too bad it gets in the way of my art, hah ).

When I was selling my house in Michigan in 2002 I needed artwork for the master bedroom. I went to the local Holiday Inn for the Starving Artists show and came home with 3 framed pictures (2 large and 1 small, all 3 went together) that I absolutely loved so much I brought them to Texas with me. Nothing over $49.00. I had a choice of frames. I believe I spent $244.00. There were alot to choose from, and I enjoyed the experience. There were all kinds of pictures to choose from.
