My wife has the possibility of transferring with her job to Schertz near the end of the year.

We are looking for helpful suggestions on good places to live. We want the best public schools for our kids, one starting kindergarten this fall, one in Middle School and one will be a senior in High School. We are lookinig to spend $250,000 to $300,000 on a home or maybe even build our own as we prefer properties with character. Currently we both commute to work and its takes about 90mins, so we are looking at cutting down the commute time to less than 45 minutes. She will be driving early in the morning, around 6 am and later in the day after 6 pm. What are the best places to live. Currently we live in a very rural area and we love the small town life so would rather not be within the SA city limits. However the town needs to have good facilities such as good stores, entertainment etc.
