I don't care what anyone says, Miami Heat got lucky in this series. If it wasn't for a few mistakes by the Spurs and a few VERY LUCKY threes by Miami towards the end of Game 6, San Antonio would have won the championship.

Anyway, I predict that the Spurs will get the title next year and bet my life that Miami will NEVER win another title with the "big three" of Bosh, Wade, and Lebron ever again.

Let the bandwagon Heat fans rejoice in this latest victory, for it will be their last; mark my words. GO SPURS!

Yeah it was kind of bull crap. The Heat was on fire tonight and kept hitting them 3's. They were landing the shots way more than the Spurs. Not to mention, Miami's defense was too strong for them.

Better team won tonight.
Can't help but feel Pop let the team down the last 2 games.
he just didn't have the fire and it trickled down.

Congrats King James. I think his speech said a lot about him.
" I don't care what people say about me off the court"

Question: Does losing a game 7 hurt more than if the Spurs had been eliminated in an earlier round or had lost 4 games to 1 in the finals?

Personally, I would rather get blown out or lose in an earlier round than lose a game 7 especially since I was thisclose to winning it all. Barely losing hurts more than losing decisively. Would you agree?

I disagree. The fact that the Spurs made it to the Finals at all when everyone was calling them too old was a major accomplishment and satisfying. Then to take the almighty LeBron all the way to the end of a Game 7 when many were again counting the Spurs out before it even started is somewhat consoling. Yes, it's still heartbreaking to be so close and lose it, but the fact that we were so close proved a lot of talking heads and dumb fans wrong and showed the Spurs are still contenders.

Even though I'm sad that the Spurs lost, I thought last night was a great game. Several of the other games in this series were kind of strange. The dramatic runs and the switching off of wins and blow outs was a bit extreme.

Despite the closeness of the score for most of the game, I thought Game 7 was kind of a sloppy game. Neither team shot well, or played inspired defense. At least it wasn't a blowout loss.

I just don't think either team had much left in the tank after playing 3 games in 5 days.

It's going to be an interesting offseason. I foresee some scenarios leading to personnel moves that will be unpopular with fans of certain players.

On my way home yesterday on Hwy 90, I spotted a blue Mazda 3 with shoe polish on all windows and on the body of car itself: “Honk if you love da Spurs!” amongst other phrases. I honked a couple of times and smiled to myself, proud of my impromptu show of support.

Switch to this morning, well, we lost. But wow, what an amazing series. I am super proud of our Spurs, of the way they carried themselves on court. As a team they battled hard, individually, our guys played without self-importance, inflated egos, exaggerated celebratory gestures, or bravado. They don’t need those tactics to stir up the fan base. And conversely, we don’t feel the need to mythologize them. They are not basketball gods or royalty .We love them because they simply epitomize the best in sports. We love them because they are a class act (and they play some wicked ball J ) Thank you Spurs!!!

Happy Friday —

Basketball is an awesome sport, and the Spurs are a great team.

Out with the old, in with the new. I see good things in Leonard in the future.
