My husband's boss has recommended that we eat at Pico de Gallo. What is your opinion. Is it family friendly (4 kids). What is the price range?

It's pretty good, somewhat touristy. Its fairly inexpensive, pretty typical san antonio tex-mex prices. I would say it is kid friendly, as are most tex-mex restaurants in SA.

I've never been there, but I did find this website:
Pico De Gallo Mexican Restaurant

If you go, let us know how it is.

We ate there tonight. It was OK. The enchiladas were good, but the beans weren't great. I've had better guacamole and service. The prices were more than I expected. Maybe prices are just higher here. It did have kind of a touristy atmosphere, but it wasn't really crowded. Overall, it wasn't terrible, but I probably won't go back.

Pico de Gallo, like la margarita, are way overpriced. Better food at more reasonable prices can be found so many other places.

Since my husband and I both worked downtown we used to meet there for lunch. It was nice, reasonable, etc. for lunch. Tourist trap? Maybe at night/dinner; when we lived in SA and went for lunch it was mostly locals on lunch hour.
