Default the elusive fish taco

having spent my entire youth in san antonio along with 25 or so "of and on years" in san diego, you will not find a fish taco anywhere in san antonio which comes close to those served in socal and baja.... its sort of like the difference between eating fish and chips in the uk and the usa......as for fish tacos, san antonio may come close, but it isnt "baja"... but hey, that doesnt mean to stop trying..... ill eat a fish taco anywhere , anyday

I don't know if this has been posted, as I did not want to go back and read the last 4 pages. I had a fish taco at Los Cucos the other day, that was pretty yummy. Had cabbage and some nifty secret sauce, on a corn tortilla. Pretty darn good!

Sorry forgot that part, Jules. They have one in New Braunfels on Commons, I beleive. Behind Rudy's on the 337 loop. I went to the one at Bitters and Embassy. A block West of 281 N. Pretty presentation on the tacos, I might add.

Just made some today, pan seard tilapia with cajun and fajita seasoning and a little salsa till it was crispy. Crumbled it on a hot tortillia and added simple cole slaw (vinegar and oil and pepper), my special avacado, lime, jalepeno, cilatro aoli....... Wayyyyy too good and easy!
I like Los Cucos pretty good as well and waas in there the other day and they let me just order one, two was too many with the chips and salsa. Pretty nifty lunch for $3.79!

Thanx so much for the recommendation Mom2Feebs!!! Now that our daughter has moved out there, we're planning on visiting frequently and will always have to hit up Berryhill's!
