I'm not sure I understand your question. Sorry...braindead today! Do you want a public place to go visit someone for information, or just have a chat with a WWII Vet for memories etc? You might want to try the public relations offices at some of the military installations.

I'm sure many here have connections with WWII vets, but maybe if we understood the nature of your inquiry we might be able to connect you with someone.

Try the National Museum of the Pacific War (broken link) in Fredericksburg. They probably can help you or point you in the right direction. We're actually thinking of donating a lot of my father's things (he was USMC in So Pac on USS Bunker Hill, Solomon Islands, Okinawa, and Guadalcanal). Good luck and hope that link helps!

Veterans Day is Saturday and there will be a parade in downtown at 12 noon. I bet you will find more than a few there. Otherwise there are retirement villages that cater to vets that may have WW11 vets. that want to talk.
