The first time I visited Hogwild was in 1984. But who knows how long it was there before that.

HOG WILD (from their MySpace profile): "Since 1980 or 81 (we can never remember). Hogwild Records has been San Antonio's indie one stop shop for music of all genres, but especially releases from independent artists. Come check out our location at 1824 N Main, right across from San Antonio College. We carry a large selection of CDs, DVDs, Vinyl LP's & 7"s, posters, stickers, buttons, patches, and t-shirts. We've been here for over 25 years so we must be doing something right."

My Flipside t-shirt says they've been around since 1972.

Anyone remember the pizza place next to Flipside? After it closed Flipside expanded to the size it is now. Anyone remember what that pizza place was called?

oh man it's funny you mention Sound Warehouse...i was thinking about that place the other day...one of my favorite locations was the one on San Pedro when it was housed adjacent to the current Dollar Tree strip center, and now is a diabetes research center (i think)...but then my favorite location for that store became the location across the street next to the McDonalds, which i think is now an Adam and Eve adult store...man i dropped so much cash on previously viewed VHS tapes, cassettes and CD from the late 80's all the way up to early 2000's when it became Blockbuster Music (the Bitters and 281 location)...i think that one closed in about 2002 or 2003...lots o' memories there.

Sound Warehouse on San Pedro was great. I remember the days of waiting in line to meet the artists at record signings. Damn, I remember going there before cassettes caught on. Flipping through albums...
