How do they get this information since most people rarely have annual check ups? I have noticed more over weight children and college level students. Either the scales have tilted significantly more in one city or more people have moved out of San Antonio. Not trying to be mean I lost 16lbs. myself and none of it was easy I had to really work hard at it. If San Antonioans are losing weight good since this city has a lot of restaurants that are not very healthy.

Home scales. They interviewed the same group of people over the past couple of years to get updates on their weight. The methodology isn't perfect, but it's a lot more scientific than the magazine lists that try to rank cities based on Twitter and Facebook posts about going to the gym and the number of golf courses.

Ah, the ol' "eye test" evidence versus the medical community evidence. Btw, you mean more people moving in. Because that's the case, not the other way.
