My suggestion would be Nordstrom Rack, there is one at the Quarry and at the Rim. Also Marshall's and Ross if you don't mind digging!

I would suggest heading to the Shops at La Cantera - try the usual suspects like Nordstrom (much more reasonable than Nieman's), Macy's, Jos. A Bank, Brooks Brothers, etc. I'm sure you will find plenty of good options there, and they are all at the same location. For shoes, I highly recommend Nordstrom. Note that "business casual" varies from place to place. In some businesses, that will mean an open collar button down shirt with a sport coat, while in others it is simply slacks with a polo shirt. San Antonio tends to lean toward the latter, especially in the summer months.

Jos A Banks - if you get on their mailing list, they sometimes have crazy sales.

Depending on where you are coming from, you may not have Steinmart. There's one near the Quarry, and they have good deals on name brand stuff. It's definitely a step up from TJ Maxx and Marshalls, but less expensive than department stores.

Another vote for Joseph's. They helped out my very hard to fit son, outfitted him beautifully, and for a price far below what we would have expected. Amazing old school tailors. Good advice is priceless.

Joseph's is great if you're hard to fit and/or want to spend a lot.

If you're an average size and looking to shop on a budget, Ross is good for slacks and shirts, but their shoes are often weird-looking.

As you're coming in from out of state, I am pretty sure the last place you would like to shop here is part of a nationwide chain, like Men's Warehouse, Jos A. Bank, Burlington, etc. more than likely, you can shop those at home.

I will echo TrapperL in recommending a local treasure called Penner's. They have been in business since 1916 years and aside from their excellent selection and free custom tayloring, they also have a San Antonio fashion favorite, guayaberas. The other local favorite, with a lengthy history and almost as impressive selection is Satel'sm who have been clothing San Antonio since the 1950's.

Enjoy your stay and stay cool and hydrated!

In searching around for Men's Clothing I have found that Josephs and Jos A. Bank are both incredibly overpriced.

Though at least at Joseph's I was able to get someone to wait on me, though they dont actually let you return any merchandise, have had a store credit for 2 years there now, slowly use it when they have sales which makes their regular stuff somewhat affordable.

I havent been to Penner's in a while, but their service alone is second to none. Men's Warehouse has some fairly decent deals from time to time. Steinmart is a great alternative to Macy's as they have the exact same merchandise as Macy's, usually just stuff that was overbought/overproduced/last season ish. Macy's has good sales too, Dillards has good merchandise generally, just a bit tougher to find on sales sometimes. JC Penney has gone to the crapper since they tried that new pricing scheme, their quality in general has just gone way down since then. Shame.
