What part of town are you on? Can you get Grande? Universe? I know you said no dish/direct, but those are the only options.

I would also say look into GVTC, but they are even more expensive the TWC

AT&T still offers traditional telephone service & DSL for internet where U-verse isn't available, but beware that maximum speed offered on DSL is 6Mbps download, and that's if you aren't to far from the CO.

Grande availability is limited mostly to neighborhoods inside Loop 410 on the North Side.

AT&T and Time Warner are the two dominant providers of TV/Internet/Phone in San Antonio, and the only two choices available to most residents for bundled services.

For TV, there are a number of alternatives, Like DirecTV and Dish Network, in addition to free reception of local channels with an antenna, and streaming services like Netflix and HULU. For internet, there's less choice. You may be able to get Clear Wireless, but they only offer 6Mbps download max speed, and they aren't any cheaper than the other providers for comparable speeds.

It pretty much comes down to a choice between AT&T and Time Warner, for most San Antonians.

Does Internet speed matter? Time Warner is fairly reasonable with their cheaper speeds... Uverse is cheap but it's hit or miss with stability.
