Enlighten me, wise one, with your mind-reading capabilities. It is a very current NEWS story ABOUT San Antonio; if that bothers you, that is your problem.

Why would it bother me? If I was worried about every disgusting act that happened in this city, state, or country I would have no time to enjoy my life.

Embarassing to SA? That's a naive statement. I'm a veteran that suffered other property losses in two other states - South Carolina and Washington. I doubt anyone is embarassed that I lost very important things to me. It happens in big cities. It's symptematic of greater issues, such as lack of educational attainment, drug use, erosion of societal norms, etc. Once you understand the underlying issues that plague us, then you get why people 'act' out and steal from others.

Would we be as equally embarrassed if this was a civilian family who lost their things? I don't think the Uhaul had a flag on it that said "US VETRAN" on it. This could have easily been anyone. I'm sorry this happened but to be embarrassed is silly.

Underlying issues? Now that is downright hilarious. The only issue they have is the fact that they are worthless scum.

I think you are missing the point that it's pretty ironic this happened on Veteran's Day weekend to a military family just passing through "Military City U.S.A."

A thread title should give you an indication of what is going on and what is being discussed in the thread. Not something like what you have.

Because scuminess is a biological innate trait right? It can be decoded in the DNA sequence too - under Scum-Y. Oversimplification is downright hilarious to me too.

Thread title has been changed.

Yes, it happens everywhere, I've met quite a few veterans, active duty military, and non-military personnel who have had their rented trailers stolen. And it's not just rented trailers either.
