Does anyone remember Ichabob's Restaurant (not sure of spelling) back in the 1970s? What was the location? What food did they serve?

Ichabods was where the current Aldos is at on the corner of Fred Rd and Wurzbach. It was a steak house as I remember. My greatest memory of the only time I was there with a very special lady was that we had to wrestle the roaches for our over priced groceries. We not only had roaches on the table but in the plates and the last straw was when one was crawling across her chest. That party was over. It was maybe as long 6 months later it was closed. And that was probably the late 70's.

I remember going frequently to an Ichabods steakhouse in New Orleans back in the mid to late 70's. No roach experience there! They had a french onion soup there that was so good I can still taste it! The steaks were great too.

I went to a Restaurant by the same name, same location in Nov/Dec 1980 in San Antonio had good food and no roaches, but it has since closed. I lived on Gardendale at the time not far from the restaurant.
