We just got a call (dh's workplace, which can function as a command center) that there is an active shooter at Stone Oak Methodist Hospital...

No news anywhere else...anyone else hear anything?

Who's been arrested? Two hours ago the SAPD reported, and I quote, "The hospital is all clear. No danger at all. It is business as usual."

About an hour before that they reported..."Concerning the incident at Methodist Hospital: we do NOT have an active shooter here. If you have family inside, please don't come to the area. We have the hospital on lockdown and are clearing room by room. No weapons have been seen. No shots fired. No injuries. We are being super cautious and staying until the hospital is clear. We will update with any changes."

I trust the SAPD over what the local media reports...

It was a fluid situation Officer Max. KABB posted on Facebook that someone had been detained. I don't have the inside scoop you obviously do, since you're a ride along and all. Thanks for clearing it all up for us.

The officer that KSAT spoke to (multiple times) also stated they had detained a person of interest.

A man was detained for questioning, which is not the same thing as being arrested. He has not yet been charged, and it is not clear if he will be. No weapon was discovered, and all the SAPD has for now is a claim from someone that they received a threatening phone call from the man at the hospital that allegedly mentioned firearms.

And it was never an "active shooter" situation as was claimed...do I need to define what that is for you as well, Sapphire?
