There won't be many "non chain" restaurants that are not Asian or Mexican in Alamo Ranch now or in the future. Sure there will be some that aren't Asian or Mexican, but just not that many. (Just like Stone Oak)

I don't understand this complaining about this mass influx of chains, but then wants a white castle in the area.

Something residents here need to get used to. I'm tired of hearing people ***** & moan about how SA is changing. We're not a cow town anymore.
Why do I need to go back to Michigan? My comment about White Castle, a chain, were in line with the chains on EVERY corner in this city. If In-and-Out Burger can come in from California, then other out-of-state chains can come in as well. We really do NEED another hamburger chain on every corner, all of us from other states would like our favorites here along with the national chains.

I agree whole-heartedly about it being nice to have all of the conveniences on THIS side of 1604. I detest the traffic issues in this city, not just at Culebra and 1604, but at Braun, Bandera, 281, it goes on and on. I am really hoping that my area becomes it's own "city within a city", with all the conveniences within minutes of my house in AR.

The fact that you think the rest of San Antonio is a low rent district speaks volumes about you as a person. Enjoy your tract home McMansions made of Ticky tacky, chain restaurants and big box stores.

Hello all! Lets get back on topic. Any idea what's being built across from the CVS? It seems to small to be the HEB... Maybe a gas station?

I think I remember someone saying on this thread that it'd be a Corner Store.

From the articles I've read Santikos said it'd a one of a kind theater, like the Palladium. There may also be a food service like one of their theaters in Houston. I really want them to start building it already!

Alamo Drafthouse.

And I cannot imagine Santikos doing anything that comes close to being as interesting, cool or movie-centric as anything Alamo Drafthouse has done.

Why you say that?
