MEDIA RELEASE:
In-N-Out Burger Coming to Alamo Plaza

The City of San Antonio is excited to announce the plans to open yet another In-N-Out Burger.

During a joint meeting on Thursday, January 30, 2014 with the Office of Historic Preservation and the City Council, the Weitzmanburger Group made the announcement that this famous and wildly popular restaurant will open later this year. The In-N-Out Burger will opening up across from the Alamo into the Ripley's Believe It or Not! -- Louis Tussaud's Wax Museum location. The existing building will be demolished and re–platted into space for the restaurant, including space for double drive-thru lanes. An announcement will be made soon!

In-N-Out Burger first opened its’ doors in Texas in 2010, and has been steadily growing since then. This will be the second In-N-Out Burger establishment in Bexar County.

You think this reaction is unique to this board or this city? People waited hours in line at the drive thru in Dallas when it first opened.

The same brain chemistry that has people wait in line for the pope or stand in line to meet a celebrity or camp out over night or wait for days to buy the first iPhone, well, that chemistry is at play with regard to this establishment,

Well then they are all nuts and need to get a life.
I never said it was unique to this board or city...I just think it's funny watching people argue over when and where a new burger franchise is going to open. It's like ya'll are having a competition on who really has the inside scoop on the actual location and opening date. Look at how many threads there are on this subject.....cracks me up.

After reading some of the posts here and a couple of the comments on that article, I find it odd how some people are baffled when a business that's new to the area doesn't first establish itself in Stone Oak or the NW side. It happened with Trader's Joe's being in "the middle of nowhere," and now some people don't think residents and employees near Windcrest can afford a fast food restaurant. I haven't heard of the Starbucks on Walzem being shot up yet. Everything will be fine.
