Our garage door broke tonight.

We tried tinkering with it ourselves and we seem to have identified the problems, but it's absolutely nothing we could repair ourselves. Can anyone recommend some good garage door repair companies, preferably ones that you've had personal experience with? Thanks in advance!

+1. Maybe not the cheapest but the best service by far. I've had 2 post installation calls not related and was never charged for anything.

San Antonio Overhead Garage Door Company - Residential and Commercial

Have used them once and they were great and surprisingly reasonable. It's been a year or so and the garage door has no problems. We had a broken spring. They replaced both as I have a double door at my request. He also noticed some old bolts here and there and replaced at no charge. Could not have been happier. They also show up on the web as Hollywood Crawford.

Overhead Door Company of San Antonio and Hollywood Crawford Garage Doors are two different companies.
They both do repairs on "Overhead Garage Doors".
Maybe it would be good to state which one is being recommended.

@ last straw:

That's what I thought. The link I grabbed from crawford shows as follows, but takes you to the crawford site. Crawford is the one I used. I updated the link to show Hollywood Crawford to avoid confusion.

Thanks.

Hollywood Crawford. Very satisified with the service, fixed the problem, gave me tips on how to best maintain the door/door opener, and left supplies behind to do so.

Default Need help fast it's an emergency.

How much open force do I need and open limit and close limit so it doesent come off the lock and fall to the ground. It was only going 3/4 the way up and would stop and get stuck while the light blinked about four times. Please provide me with the proper adjustments by the screws on the garage opener box. Thanks

Default Electrician or Garage Door company

Having a problem with the garage door. Seems the previous owner of our home installed a 6 receptacle outlet on the garage ceiling near the garage door opener. Garage door works a few times, then fails to respond. If we pull the plug and place into another receptacle in the same outlet, it works again for a few times, then fails to respond.
Better to call Garage Door company or Electrician for repair? Anyone ever experience this? Any recommendations? TIA

It the outlet loose at all? Does the plug wiggle, or seem to go in more easily than normal? If so, I would call an electrician.
We've had some outlets like that in our house and had to get a bunch replaced.
