Does anyone in town do a nice x-mas day brunch?? We are a small family with a toddler and wee infant - I'm just not up to cooking a huge meal....

Alternately, any ideas for getting something delivered or take-out??? (we're in the Potranco/1604 area.)

Bill Miller also does a Christmas meal in a box, with a choice of ham or turkey.

no need to cook a huge meal.
The holiday should be about enjoying family and being together. Start your own traditions.
Get a ham a day or two before with some ready-made sides from HEB plus, or try Super Suppers (great for everyday too!). Bake one special thing that becomes your one special thing for years to come and be done with it!
Then, on Christmas day, get up have some coffee and play with your kids. Then is't ham sammiches the rest of the day and maybe a nice walk around the neighborhood to watch all the kiddies playing with their new stuff.
Not sure you'll find anyplace on Christmas day to go and have a good meal without fighting crowds. And who wants that?

I am pretty sure that the restaurant in the La Mansion downtown has a Christmas brunch. I think we went there one year on Christmas Day. We do go every year at Easter. It's awesome and your little one should enjoy it too because they make Belgian waffles.
You also might want to try the Hyatt Hill Country resort. I don't think that's too far from you. They have 2 different restaurants there. The Canyon Springs Golf Club has brunches on most special occasions. Anyway, good luck and Merry Christmas.

P.S. You shouldn't have to worry about a crowd since these places all require reservations.

Default Christmas Brunch

the Omni Hotel off IH 10, and the Hyatt Riverwalk both have excellent Christmas Brunches. My family goes to one or the other every year (for the past 10 years or so).

Lots of choices, excellent food.
