My daughter has finally seen the light and has joined us in Texas. We need to get her car registered, but she has gotten an M-F 8-5 job. The car is in her name only. If we have all of the required paperwork/signatures, can we do it for her? I looked at the DMV website, but it wasn't clear whether the registered owner needs to be present.

Thank you!

Yes you can and you'll also need a signed letter from her stating that she is giving you her permission to do this.

Have her sign and date this letter and bring everything including proof of insurance and $.

You should call the location you're going to and ask if it's possible and what you need to bring.

Try River City Auto title on Ramsey and San Pedro behind Jim's coffe shop.
They are open on Saturdays.
