thats insane. i pay 575 a month for almost 900sqft in a 2br in the 'fabled' 09 zipcode :P

The OP doesn't want to live in a place that looks old. The cheap places for rent south of Alamo Heights definitely look old. Not everything in the '09 zip code is fancy.
